Why is this game great for your child? Color recognition and learning: The child learns to distinguish colors and follow verbal instructions (e.g. “Now put in only green ones”), which develops thinking and vocabulary.
Attention control and concentration: The child must stay focused on the task, ignore tokens of other colors, and choose only the color that is required of him.
Precision and oculomotor coordination: Eye-hand coordination is put to the test here, the child must correctly turn the token in the air and precisely aim it into the narrow slot in the lid.
Finger strengthening (pincer grip): Picking up a thin chip from the surface of the table with the thumb and forefinger directly prepares the hand for holding the pencil later.
Tips for playing at home: As you can see in the video, you don’t need expensive materials for this game – a regular jar and some cardboard or plastic tokens are enough. If your child is just learning colors, start with just two recognizable colors (e.g. red and blue). Once they get the hang of it, add more colors to make the game more challenging!
