The Žepče Health Center with an inpatient unit provides primary health care to the local population. As part of the HEARTS project, it plays a key role in implementing health activities, early diagnosis of developmental disabilities, participating in the education of health professionals, and improving health infrastructure and equipment.
Activities in the HEARTS project:
- Adaptation of space and procurement of equipment for early intervention rooms
- Engagement of professional staff to work with children with developmental disabilities
- Attending training courses for professional staff
- Organization of presentation of services for project beneficiaries in 3 regional clinics in the municipality of Žepče in cooperation with RAŽ
- Work of Mobile Teams in the field , in 3 regional clinics in the municipality of Žepče
- Preparation of a “Situational Analysis of the Status and Availability of Services for Children with Developmental Disabilities in the Municipality of Žepče”
- Conducting training for parents of children with developmental disabilities
- Conducting promotional and information activities for the public and relevant stakeholders on the importance of early intervention and support for parents and children with developmental disabilities
