The Association of Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities Podgorica brings together parents and provides support to children with developmental disabilities and their families. In the HEARTS project, it contributes to the development of activities focused on family needs, the exchange of experiences, raising awareness of the importance of early intervention, and strengthening the role of parents in the process of supporting the child.
Activities in the HEARTS project
- Hiring professionals to work with children with developmental disabilities (the work of four physiotherapists and a psychologist)
- Defectology and speech therapy support for children with developmental disabilities
- Sensory room equipment and purchase of vehicles for the needs of children with developmental disabilities
- Education of parents for working with children at home
- Support for the education of professional staff
- Organization of a round table in Podgorica
- Participation in promotional activities and web platform development
