As part of the “HEARTS” project, a round table was held in Podgorica

As part of the “HEARTS” project, a round table was held in Podgorica entitled “Cross-border cooperation to improve the position of children and young people with developmental disabilities”.
The Association of Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities, Podgorica , organized a round table on October 24, 2025 in Podgorica on the topic of “Cross-border cooperation to improve the position of children and youth with developmental disabilities” . The meeting brought together representatives of state institutions, local self-governments, international partners and organizations, civil society organizations and experts in the fields of social protection, education and health.
Development agency Žepče and JU “Dom zdravlja sa stacionar Žepče” as project partners in the “HEARTS” project were active participants in the round table and on that occasion presented the project results for the area of the municipality of Žepče, as well as the role of development agencies as supporting institutions in providing financial resources for the development of the local community.
The goal of the round table was to highlight the importance of cross-border cooperation in improving the position of children and youth with developmental disabilities through the exchange of experiences and examples of good practice, and to further strengthen the partnership between institutions and organizations operating in this area.
During the working part of the meeting, the activities and results of the “HEARTS” project , which is being implemented with the support of partners from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, were presented. The partners presented examples of good practice and their role in improving the support system for children and young people with developmental disabilities.
