Specialized equipment for working with children with developmental disabilities was purchased as part of the “HEARTS” project

As part of the “HEARTS” project, specialized equipment for working with children with developmental disabilities was purchased for the Public Institution “Health Center with Inpatient Clinic Žepče”

The Žepče Development Agency and the Žepče Health Center are working intensively on the implementation of the HEARTS – Healthcare Equity and Access for Resilient Targeted Support project.

In the past period, the Žepče inpatient health center acquired specialized equipment for working with children with developmental disabilities and adapted the space within the health center. Neurofeedback, digital speech therapy set, sensory room equipment and Play attention neurocognitive program were purchased. In the coming period, specialized training of professional staff will be carried out, and treatment for children with developmental disabilities will begin in the regional clinics in Ozimica, Begov Han and Željezno Polje.

The main results of this project, in addition to the provided infrastructure and professional staff, will be equal access to all service users in both urban and rural areas of the municipality of Žepče.
