As part of the “HEARTS” project, a speech therapist and a psychologist were hired to work with children with developmental disabilities

As part of the project called “HEARTS” – “Equal access to health services for all vulnerable groups”, from November 1, 2024, the “Dom zdravlja sa stacionara Žepče” hired an additional speech therapist and psychologist who provide early intervention services to children with developmental disabilities in order to reduce waiting lists for treatment.
Namely, partners in the cross-border area face identical problems and challenges due to the lack of resources to provide quality and timely services for children with developmental disabilities and their families. One of the main goals is to ensure early intervention that will improve the cognitive, emotional and physical development of children. The project represents a significant step forward in ensuring a more inclusive and accessible health system, in which every child will have equal opportunities for development and success, and will also enable networking, exchange of experiences and transfer of knowledge between service providers.
