As part of the “HEARTS” project, training of professional staff for the application of PECS was held

As part of the “HEARTS” project, the training of professional staff was held for the application of PECS in working with children with developmental disabilities.
Within the framework of the HEARTS project – Healthcare Equity and Access for Resilient Targeted Support, which is implemented through the cross-border cooperation program Interreg IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021 – 2027, in Slavonski Brod, training was held for professional staff on the application of the PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) method of a communication system intended for people with verbal communication difficulties, especially children with autism spectrum disorder. The education was attended by employees of the “Dom zdravlja sa stasionar Žepče”, employees of the “Center for the provision of services in the community of Vukovar-Srijemska County” and employees of the Association of Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities Podgorica, members of the project team, members of the project team.
