Approved projects within the first call of the Interreg IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program

Vukovar-Srijem County has been approved for funding within the framework of of the first call for proposals of the Interreg IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Croatia – Serbia 2021 – 2027 under the name ID Danube – Interventions on the Danube, with partners the Port Authority of Vukovar and partners from Serbia, the European Affairs Fund of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Emergency Management Sector.
The main goal of the project is to improve cooperation and prevent the risk of disasters in the cross-border area of the Danube River by improving the skills and procedures of the operational forces of civil protection and firefighting and rescue. The ID Danube project is aimed at identifying common challenges and opportunities facing the cross-border area of Croatia and Serbia. The focus of the project is based on the development of new approaches to protection and rescue on the water, ensuring a quick, coordinated and efficient response in case of accidents on the water. Joint field exercises will be conducted as a pilot activity of the project, and through these exercises, a crisis response system in the cross-border area will be established.
