The HEARTS project brings investment in knowledge and equipment – training of experts to work in the sensory room

As part of the HEARTS – Healthcare Equity and Access for Resilient Targeted Support project, which is being implemented through Cross-border cooperation program Interreg IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021 – 2027. , in Vinkovci , in the premises of the Center for the provision of services in the community of the Vukovar-Srijem County , an intensive five-day training for work in the sensory room is being held.
The training brought together experts from the project’s partner institutions and focused on the application of sensory therapy in working with children and adults who have difficulties in sensory integration, as well as on strategies for the successful regulation of challenging behaviors. The theoretical part of the training was based on modern approaches to sensory intelligence, while the practical part allowed participants to acquire specific skills in using equipment and methods in working with users through real-life situations and examples.
